Report: Real Madrid tell Arsenal what they must pay to sign Martin Odegaard
Arsenal are interested in Martin Odegaard and its now reported that Real Madrid have told the gunners how much they will need to pay for the Norwegian international.
Martin Odegaard joined Arsenal in the January transfer window on a six month loan deal and he had a wonderful time at the Emirates Stadium as he helped the gunners in their UEFA Europa League run, and also scored one goal as well as making two assists. It’s believed that the gunners are interested in bringing back Martin Odegaard and its now reported that Real Madrid have told the gunners how much they would have would to pay.
It is believed that Arsenal would love to sign a central attacking midfielder in this summer transfer window since their only option in that position at the moment is Emile Smith Rowe and its been rumoured that Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Martin Odegaard, and that he is the player that he wants to bring to the Emirates Stadium this summer as he has already worked with him for six months.
ESPN is now reporting that Real Madrid believe that Martin Odegaard still has a big future with them but that the Madrid club will ask any club interested in the Norwegian international to pay a fee of €50million if the player informs them that he wants to leave. There has been many rumours in Spain in the past few days that Martin Odegaard could return to Arsenal since he feels that he won’t get enough chances at Real Madrid in the upcoming new season when it is one of the reasons that saw him go to North London in January.
It is not clear if Arsenal would be able to afford €50million that Real Madrid want but it’s likely that the gunners could ask to sign him on a season long loan deal as they might have used most of their summer transfer budget on Ben White.
