Arsenal have been pretty busy in this summer transfer window if you are to believe in reports as they have been linked with many players and among them has been Ben White who just had a fantastic 2019/20 season. The gunners are interested in Ben White as he is thought to be the perfect defender to improve Mikel Arteta’s defence ahead of the upcoming new season.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was very clear in his interviews at the end of the 2019/20 season as to how the gunners had already made plans about this summer and that it would be a massive one since he would try to revamp the squad to fit into the image that he wants and it looks like Ben White will be the core at the back.

It is no secret that Arsenal’s first bid of £40million was rejected by Brighton & Hove Albion as per all newspapers in England and things have been a bit quiet until now as football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the gunners will hope to complete the deal in the next couple of days. He claims that Arsenal are just still in discussions with Brighton & Hove Albion on the final fee and that the personal terms will not be an obstacle as they are already agreed.

As promising as White may be, it remains to be seen whether his signing will be enough to restore faith in the club’s title chances. Just over a month ago, Arsenal were rated at 80/1 to win the Premier League next season. Arsenal have spent five years without playing in the UEFA Champions League and Mikel Arteta will nectar season be expected to at least deliver this as he received a lot of criticism last season for crashing out of the UEFA Europa League to Villarreal.

Ben White is a highly rated young centre back and the gunners have in the past few years been trying to find the right and capable centre back to fill the void that was left when Laurent Koscielny got old, they will hope that the Englishman gets the same impact as Ruben Dias’ first season at Manchester City.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
