Done deal: Arsenal complete the signing of Martin Ødegaard for €40m
The Norwegian playmaker becomes Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have agreed a deal with Real Madrid for attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard according to Fabrizio Romano.
Odegaard will join for an initial fee of £30m with bonuses rising to £35m (€40m). The Norwegian international this time joins on a permanent transfer, contract until 2026, having spent a few months in north London on loan.
The 22-year-old made 20 appearances for Arsenal during his short loan last season and managed to impress Arteta. Arteta has been keen on bringing him back to north London permanently after he became his priority.
Odegaard is reportedly in London today undergoing a medical and could feature this weekend against Chelsea if he is registered by Friday afternoon.
The Norway captain could finally provide solutions to Arsenal’s creativity crisis alongside Emile Smith-Rowe. Odegaard had two goals and two assists in 20 appearances last term.
He becomes Arsenal’s fourth summer signing and fans can expect one or two more new faces before the deadline day.
