Journalist gives Arsenal transfer update regarding pursuit of Maddison & Odegaard
Renown journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided an update regarding Arsenal’s pursuit of an attacking midfielder.

Arsenal are waiting for Real Madrid’s final decision on Martin Odegaard’s future and are ready to bid for the Norwegian playmaker according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano also reports that Odegaard has been Arsenal’s priority more than James Maddison and the Leicester midfielder is not under serious consideration at this time.
Odegaard had a short spell with Arsenal and showed glimpses of talent that caught Arteta’s eye. The 22-year-old is concerned at Real Madrid that he may not get the playing time he wants and is open to moving back to north London.

The Spanish giants value Martin Odegaard at €50m (£43m) and are yet to decide whether they should keep him, sell him, or possibly loan him out again.
The Norway captain is a much cheaper option compared to Maddison who is valued at over £60m. It has been reported that Arsenal are reluctant to spend big on one player and neglect other areas that need strengthening.
Odegaard scored two goals and two assists in his 20 appearances for the Gunners last term.
