Arsenal face off with the Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday afternoon’s early kickoff at 12:30 (GMT)
Arteta has a difficult task of getting his side back to winning ways against Man City after losing the first two League games. The Gunners however, thumped West Brom 6-0 to get their first win of the season in the Carabao cup.
Thomas Partey and Eddie Nketiah remain sidelined while Ben White continues to be monitored.
“He’s asymptomatic, he’s been feeling good. As quick as we can we’re going to bring him back to playing games.” Arteta said regarding Ben White who missed the Chelsea game due to COVID-19.
Arsenal will be with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for the clash after the duo recovered from COVID and managed to play and score against West Brom on Wednesday.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Kieran Tierney are also available for selection after picking up minor injuries while Gabriel Magalhaes returned to full training and played 45 minutes for the U23 side in their game against Tottenham.
Predicted starting lineup
Leno; Cedric, Holding, Mari, Tierney; Lokonga, Xhaka; Pepe, Smith Rowe, Saka; Aubameyang
Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 11 league games against Arsenal (W9 D2) since a 2-1 defeat at the Emirates in December 2015.
Arsenal have lost each of their last eight Premier League meetings with Manchester City, their joint-longest run of consecutive defeats against a specific opponent in their league history (alongside Leeds between 1973-1976).
Since the 1954-55 season Arsenal have not lost their first three games in a top-flight season.
