Report: James Maddison’s stance on move to Arsenal revealed
Arsenal are interested in Leicester City midfielder James Maddison and his stance on coming to the Emirates Stadium has been revealed.
Arsenal will in this summer transfer window try to sign a playmaker since the North London club lost Mesut Ozil in January and then Martin Odegaard in July after his six month loan at the Emirates Stadium came to an end. The gunners have identified James Maddison as the perfect candidate for this role and the player’s stance on a move to the Emirates Stadium has been revealed.
Arsenal have so far completed three signings in this summer transfer window and they are not done yet as Mikel Arteta claimed that this would be a very important window as they would use it to overhaul their bloated squad. James Maddison is considered to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and many have asked whether he would consider a move to Arsenal when they finished 8th in the last two seasons while his current team is in at least the UEFA Europa League.
A report by The Guardian has now confirmed that James Maddison will be open to a move to Arsenal in this summer transfer window and that he feels that coming to the Emirates Stadium would be good for his development. The report also claims that Arsenal will be looking to complete the signing of Maddison since Mikel Arteta believes he could improve his team and that they could consider making a proposal that includes players but that there is no guarantee that it will work.
Maddison scored eight Premier League goals as well as making five assists last season and so the gunners will be hopeful that they can complete the deal before the transfer window closes as he is a player that would transform their squad.
