Vlahovic has netted 16 times in the Serie A for Fiorentina in what has been a sensational season for the 21-year-old and, his previous comments suggested he is in no hurry to leave.
“I have stated this several times so far. A beautiful football story is being made here in Florence,” he said.
“We have a good team, great football players, great support from the fans. It all deserves respect.
“Only God knows what will happen in the next period. My wish is to bring Fiorentina to Europe, because we have not been in Europe for a long time. I don’t know what can happen overnight. We’ll see.”
This indicates that Vlahovic wants to stay at Fiorentina at least until the end of the season before he considers a move.
The task for Mikel Arteta and Edu will be to convince Vlahovic and his agents to sign for Arsenal over the other clubs that will be competing for his signature.
