Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has been a fantastic revolution since he broke into the first eleven as he has through tremendous performances earned the right to be called one of the most important players of the North London club. There has been rumours on the future of Bukayo Saka in recent days with some saying there could be problems in renewing his deal with the gunners but Mikel Arteta has also given an update.

Bukayo Saka’s current contract at Arsenal will expire in two years from now and the gunners will probably start sweating in the summer if he hasn’t agreed to sign a new deal as he would be entering the final, two years of his deal yet the club promised that they would these days either sell a player at a good price or make sure that they renew to avoid having similar transfer sagas like that of Aubameyang, Ozil and Sanchez.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has had a great influence on Bukayo Saka’s journey as he has fully trusted the 20 year old as he is one of the players that are 100% usually on his starting eleven when fit. Arteta was recently asked by the media about Saka’s future and reports mentioning his contract renewal issues, and he claimed talks are set to start with all the relevant parties.

“It is a conversation we are going to have with the player, then his agent, his family — [talks] which are going to be extremely important as well — so everybody is on board.” Mikel Arteta told Standard.

“Obviously, our desire is to keep Bukayo as long as possible, because we are really happy. He is part of our club, our DNA, he is growing, he is maturing.”

“His importance in the team is unquestionable and we want to keep our best talent, that’s for sure.”
