The summer transfer window will open in a few month’s time and Arsenal will be looking forward to it as they want to go big in the market to try to perform well in all competitions as they this season missed out on European football. Arsenal technical director Edu Gaspar has revealed some great news for fans about their plans for the summer transfer window.

Arsenal surprised everyone when they did not complete any signing in the January transfer window when they were in a tough race for a UEFA Champions League spot and technical director Edu Gaspar had started to get criticized for that before their two wins over Chelsea and Manchester United. The gunners have however despite no January signing found themselves in the fourth position on the Premier League table with just five games to go.

Arsenal technical director Edu Gaspar recently had an interview and he explained that their signings in last year’s summer transfer window were to rebalance the squad and that the club wouldn’t have been able to absorb two players in the January transfer window. Edu also then made some exciting statement to the fans saying that they have everything for the summer planned and the supporters love this because the North Londoners in the past used to be slow in the market.

“Today we find a much more balanced squad. Our planning has already been done, it has already reached the owners. It’s a matter of step by step, how we are going to finish the season and to put in plan the planning that I’m very excited about.” Edu Gaspar told ESPN Brasil.

“The Champions League and the Europa League both require a much larger squad because the amount of games is much bigger.” he added.

“If we can afford it financially and we don’t have to do the turnaround in the squad that we’ve had to, what I want is 22 outfield players and three goalkeepers. A lot of things have to be put in place and that takes time, so I am expecting a busy summer.”

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
