Mikel Arteta speaks out on Arsenal’s chances of getting a top four finish
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has come out to speak out on the chances of the gunners getting a top four finish in this Premier League season.
Arsenal has had an interesting season that has seen them have highs and lows in their desire to get back to either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League as they missed out on any European football in this 2021/22 campaign. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has recently come out to comment on the chances of the gunners getting a top four finish.
Arsenal seemed to have lost their chance of getting back to the UEFA Champions League after they lost to Crystal Palace and Southampton hence Mikel Arteta receiving a lot of criticism but the gunners have against all odds surprised everyone by beating both Chelsea and Manchester United, effectively getting back into the Premier League top four.
Arsenal are in the fourth position on the Premier League table with 60 points while Tottenham Hotspur in fifth are with 58 points and Mikel Arteta was recently asked whether their arch rivals Spurs were the main obstacle in their aspirations of getting UEFA Champions League football.
“I don’t know. This changes so quickly, but my belief is that we’re going to give it a real go, we can win football matches, but the margins are very small and we have to be very aware of that.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
“Winning and losing in this league and where we are today, is defined by the small margins, so everything has to be there to take the game where we want at the end of the 95 minutes.”
