Arsenal reportedly make a decision on Saliba amid rumours on his future
There has been a lot of transfer rumours on the future of William Saliba and a new report has revealed some information about the French young centre back.
Arsenal completed the signing of William Saliba from Saint-Ettienne in the 2019 summer transfer window and he has yet to play a professional game for the North Londoners because he has been loaned out to French teams so that he gains experience. William Saliba was loaned to Marseille last season and he was outstanding there as he helped them get Champions League football while also winning the young player of the year award.
There has been transfer rumours in recent weeks claiming that William Saliba could push to stay at Marseille despite his loan having ended and this has brought a lot of anxiety to the supporters of the North London club since they were looking forward to having him back into the squad that will play in professional games for the first time.
It has now been confirmed by transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Arsenal have not changed their stance on William Saliba as they believe he is an important asset for the present and the future, and that the gunners will try to sign him to a new contract. Though he however said that all this will depend on William Saliba of course but it’s likely that he will accept the deal as he has always said that it is his dream to play for Arsenal.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks as its a given for now that William Saliba could probably sign another contract with the gunners or be sold permanently so that they could quickly get a replacement.
