Arsenal will be one of the clubs that will look to be busy in the upcoming summer transfer window since they will have returned to an European competition hence needing to have a very big squad to compete in all four fronts. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was recently asked in a press conference on how much they are likely to spend in this upcoming summer transfer window.

Arsenal have decided to let go of all their strikers and so without even considering other positions, the gunners will now be required to sign at least two strikers that would be ready to be integrated to the club immediately. And so it is very clear that the gunners will be busy in the summer transfer window but the fans are always curious to know how much they will be given by Stan Kroenke to spend in the window.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta held his last press conference of this season yesterday and he was asked how much they would have for signings this summer, the Spanish coach did not reveal the exact amount but rather explained that it is not only about specific, amount of money and that there are other factors such as the wage bill who would determine the available transfer kitty.

“It’s not only about that amount. If you see the wage [bill] that we have and we had, it’s night and day. So it’s not only about spending, it’s about what you have sold.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal Media.

“We had 28 players and we ended up with 19 in the squad, so it’s about the total expenditure. Because if not that figure is irrelevant. Because what is the total annual cost of the squad you are building?”
