William Saliba makes a statement that will upset all Arsenal supporters
Arsenal centre back William Saliba will be expected back this summer but the Frenchman has made a statement that will surely upset the supporters.
Arsenal completed the signing of William Saliba in the 2019 summer transfer window and he has surprisingly never played a professional match for the North Londoners as the gunners keep loaning him out with this campaign having sent him to French Ligue one side Marseille. Arsenal’s centre back William Saliba has however made a statement that is going to anger all the fans of the North London club.
Arsenal supporters have been looking forward to William Saliba’s return to the Emirates Stadium this summer since his one year loan to Marseille expires this June and him recently winning the young French Ligue one player of the year award has made gooners excited. William Saliba has been in the squad that has managed to help Marseille secure UEFA Champions League football and he has made a statement saying he wants to stay to play in it.
“I want to come back and play the Champions League. I have never played in it and I want to discover it here.” said William Saliba as per The Metro.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks because everyone at Arsenal has been saying that the gunners are looking forward to having him back this summer. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal would accept to a loan renewal since all signals at the Emirates Stadium are saying that he will be integrated into the squad for next season. If Saliba does decide to stay in France then Arsenal will hope that they can recoup most of the funds they spent on him.
