Bukayo Saka sends a message to Arsenal fans after winning the player of the year award
Arsenal young star Bukayo Saka has sent a message to the supporters after he was voted as the player of the year of the North Londoners for the 2021/22 campaign.
The Premier League ended a few weeks ago and the gunners finished the campaign in the fifth position on the table which isn’t a bad position since they finished three places lower in the 2020/21 campaign. Arsenal had lots of ups and downs last season as they even at one time got closer to the third position and Bukayo Saka is a player who stepped up ahead of his senior teammates in time of need.
Bukayo Saka was among those short listed to win the Arsenal player of the year award and he has been voted as the winner of that honour since the supporters were very happy with his performance last season as he got 11 Premier League goals as well as making 7 assists despite being inexperienced. Bukayo Saka was among the players that made the gunners afford to not miss Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang when he fell out with Mikel Arteta and even after the departure of the Gabon international, the young Englishman continued his impressive form.
After the announcement came on all the official pages of Arsenal Football Club, Bukayo Saka has also taken to Twitter to thank the fans for having voted him and the love they have shown him this year.
“I’m so proud to win the @arsenal Player of The Season award again ! 🙏🏿”
“Thank you to all my Gooners for your constant support this year, this one is for you.” wrote Bukayo Saka on Twitter.
