William Saliba finally opens up about whether he is leaving Arsenal
William Saliba has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal and the French young centre back has opened up about his future.
Arsenal signed William Saliba from Saint-Ettienne in the 2019 summer transfer window and he has since then not started a single competitive game for the gunners as they have opted to send him out on loan in France on two occasions hence this worrying many on if he will ever get a chance. William Saliba was on loan at Marseille last season and it is been heavily reported that they want to get him permanently.
William Saliba’s development at Marseille has been exceptional as he was one of the players that helped the French side to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League and even won the French Ligue one young player of the year award, and all this has seen him attract interest from all over Europe as some clubs believe they can convince him to leave the gunners.
There has been transfer rumours about the future of William Saliba but he has however formally put to bed to those reports by confirming he is returning to Arsenal to prove himself since it has always been a dream club for him.
“I belong to Arsenal, I still have two years left. I will be back with Arsenal. I have played zero matches and I still want to show them my true face and have the chance to play for these fans and this great club.” William Saliba told TF1.
This statement has made Arsenal supporters happy as they were worried that they might lose William Saliba without even seeing him play for them.
