Arsenal receive their first major bad news of the summer transfer window
Arsenal has been impressive in this summer transfer window but they have however received their first major bad news in their quest to bring in new players.
The summer transfer window opened in June and Arsenal have so far completed the signing of Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Gabriel Jesus but they are however still working hard to bring in their other targets. Mikel Arteta has already confirmed that this is a very important summer transfer window that he wishes to completely revamp their squad but they will however have to sign their their targets as the squad still has holes.
Arsenal has identified a lot of interesting targets in this summer transfer window as its reported that Mikel Arteta is this time heavily involved in the process to bring in new players that he likes and that would fit in the plans that he has for the club. Raphinha is a player that Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal hierarchy had focused on for the last few weeks and the gunners were hoping to sign him in this summer transfer window so that they can finally have one more goal scoring winger since Nicolas Pepe might be on his way out.
Arsenal have received their first major summer transfer window bad news as it seems like they might have finally left the picture in the last few moments of Raphinha choosing the club that he will be represent next season. Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed the race is now only between Barcelona and Chelsea, and that Raphinha will make his decision on where to move to on these two clubs.
Arsenal missed out on UEFA Champions League football last season and so they will not be financially able to sign all their targets. Arsenal were not able to match the bids of both Barcelona and Chelsea hence them now no longer being in the picture to sign the highly rated winger.
