Arsenal receives bad news in their pursuit of Lisandro Martinez
Arsenal has been in pursuit of Lisandro Martinez for the past few weeks and the gunners have reportedly received bad news in the race for the signature of the Argentine international.
Arsenal has so far completed the signings of Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira and Matt Turner in this 2022 summer transfer window and they are not yet done as they have already been linked with other interesting players such as Ajax centre back Lisandro Martinez. Lisandro Martinez has attracted interest from all over Europe this year and Arsenal is among the interested clubs but seem to have received bad news in the pursuit of the player.
Arsenal have been very good in this summer transfer window as they have been proactive in trying to bring their transfer targets until the past few seven days where it seems like the gunners have reverted back to their old ways seen in the past windows.
Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their backline by signing Lisandro Martinez but they have however received bad news in the pursuit of the Argentine international as its been reported by Daily Mail that Manchester United have moved into pole position to sign him from Ajax. This won’t be the first time this happened this has happened to Arsenal in the past few days as Chelsea have as well moved into pole position to sign Raphinha over the gunners who were ahead before that move by their London rivals.
The report claims that Manchester United might be victorious in the pursuit of Lisandro Martinez ahead of the gunners because they will have the pull of their new manager Erik ten Hag since he is a former manager of Ajax.
