Thomas Partey makes Instagram post amid rape accusations on social media
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has made a social media post on Instagram amid rape accusations made by random users on the internet.
The Arsenal squad traveled to Germany for the start of their pre-season matches a few days ago and Thomas Partey who is one of their star players was not in the squad that went on the journey as per journalist Chris Wheatley. Thomas Partey not being in the Arsenal squad that went to Germany brought a lot of speculations on social media due to the breaking news that had been trending for some hours.
A Daily Mail report a few days ago confirmed that a Premier League player in his late 20s, had been arrested on rape allegations in North London hence this bringing a lot of speculations on circles of social media platforms of football supporters. This report claimed that this particular incident happened last month and that they were wondering to see if that particular player would be able to travel with his teammates abroad for pre-season since most Premier League clubs have left England this week.
Some football fans on social media started making predictions that the Premier League player in question might have been Arsenal’s Thomas Partey even though no reliable news agency has confirmed this. Thomas Partey has posted on social media for the first time since these unconfirmed allegations started.
The picture posted is him in the Arsenal kit with the captions talking about the pre-season game against Nurnberg. The game is currently on going but he’s neither on the bench or in the starting eleven.
N.B: We as Arsenal True Fans do not confirm these rape allegations against Thomas Partey and urge fans to refrain from making predictions until the relevant authorities provide more information. Rape is a very serious crime and victims should always receive justice.
