Partey’s name has been trending in the last 24 hours after reports that an unnamed 29-year-old Premier League footballer was arrested on suspicion of rape in North London.
Many football fans on social media have been quick to claim that Partey is the footballer who has been arrested since the other 29-year-old footballers in north London are either active on social media or on holiday abroad.
The Premier League footballer arrested in North London on suspicion of rape has been further arrested on suspicion of two more incidents of rape against a different woman today.
The man has been released on bail, while the Metropolitan Police continue their enquiries.
