The summer transfer window still has a few weeks to go and Arsenal who were very active when the window opened have in recent days focussed on outgoing deals since Mikel Arteta wants to have a well trimmed squad that can fit his vision. Arsenal have in recent years been accused of having a bloated squad and it looks like Mikel Arteta wishes to fix this problem in this summer transfer window.

Arsenal have so far completed the signing of five players and the fans have been asking questions on when they will also sell on some of their players since they have a lot of players. Arsenal has however confirmed the departure of two players in the past 48 hours.

Bernd Leno has said goodbye to the gunners this month to join Premier League side Fulham on a fee reported to be around £8million. Bernd Leno who joined Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen a few years ago leaves the Emirates Stadium after having made more than 100 appearances. The club confirmed Bernd Leno’s move to Fulham on Arsenal’s official website and fans will feel safe knowing that they’ve already signed a new goalkeeper in Matt Turner.

2. FOLARIN BALOGUN

Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun has left the gunners to join French Ligue one side Stade de Reims on a season long loan and the gunners will hope that he gains enough experience in France as William Saliba did. Balogun departure isn’t a clear out like the one above as Arsenal obviously still have high hopes in him. The departure of the 21 year old was confirmed on the Arsenal media platforms today.
