Report: Arsenal’s Europa League fixture against PSV postponed
This comes after Premier League matchweek 7’s fixtures were postponed.
Arsenal’s home fixture against PSV in the Europa League scheduled for Thursday 15 September has been postponed.
An agreement was reached between UEFA, the Metropolitan Police and Arsenal, after the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Matchweek 7 fixtures were called off as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth ll.
Insufficient deployment of police personnel due to the funeral services of Queen Elizabeth in London have led to the postponement of the fixture.
It is not yet known when the Europa League match will be played, more information about this will follow.
Arsenal’s fixture away to Brentford this weekend is also in doubt as preparations for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral happening on 19 September are likely to hinder the fixture.
The Gunners will most likely return to action after the international break on October 1 against Tottenham.
