Early predicted Arsenal lineup to face Bodo/Glimt
Arsenal will this Thursday face Bodo/Glimt at the Emirates Stadium and here’s the early predicted lineup that Arteta is likely to use in this Europa League game.
The UEFA Europa League returns to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday after spending one season without European football and the fans of the North London club will be pumped to come support their squad in mid week. Arsenal will welcome Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt at the Emirates Stadium and Mikel Arteta will hope to get all the three points to keep up their form.
EARLY PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE BODO/GLIMT
TEXT FORM: Turner, Tierney, Gabriel, Holding, Tomiyasu, Xhaka, Lokonga, Martinelli, Vieira, Marquinhos, Nketiah
Note: We apologize for the mistake on Marquinhos’ picture.
FORMATION: 4-2-3-1
GOALKEEPING:
Arsenal’s new goalkeeper Matt Turner that joined this summer will get another chance on Thursday to impress Mikel Arteta and he will hope to get a clean sheet.
DEFENCE:
Kieran Tierney and Tomiyasu are two Arsenal fullbacks that haven’t got enough chances in the Premier League and so they will likely start against Bodo/Glimt while Gabriel, and Holding play as centre backs.
CENTRAL MIDFIELD:
Granit Xhaka has been outstanding this season and is likely to be paired with Sambi Lokonga who hasn’t got many chances in the Premier League.
ATTACKING MIDFIELD:
Marquinhos was impressive in Arsenal’s first Europa League game and is in high contention to be in the squad that plays on Thursday. Marquinhos and Martinelli could play as wingers while Fabio Vieira in the central attacking midfield position.
STRIKING:
Eddie Nketiah is Arsenal’s second choice striker and Mikel Arteta is likely to give Gabriel Jesus a much needed rest. So Nketiah will definitely start.
