Arsenal winger Marquinhos is set to join Norwich City on loan for the remainder of the season, according to exclusive reports.

The 19-year-old Brazilian has been given the green light by Arsenal to travel to East Anglia for a medical, with the deal expected to be completed in the next 24 hours as per sports journalist Ryan Taylor.

Marquinhos joined Arsenal from Brazilian side Sau Paulo in last year’s summer transfer window and has made some appearances for the Gunners in the cup competitions.

The move will give Marquinhos a chance to gain valuable experience in English football and could prove beneficial for both parties. Norwich are currently in the Championship this season and will likely give the young attacker a lot of game time which he needs to get used to English football.

For Arsenal, it will give Marquinhos a chance to develop his game away from the pressures of playing at one of England’s biggest clubs. The loan move also allows them to keep tabs on his progress and decide whether he is ready for regular first team action when he returns at the end of the season.

Marquinhos is highly rated by Arsenal staff and they are keen for him to get some much needed game time in order to continue his development as a player. The loan move should provide him with an opportunity to show what he can do in English football and prove that he can make an impact at Premier League level.
