Brighton reportedly ready to sell Moises Caicedo to Arsenal on one condition
Arsenal have in the past few days been heavily linked with Moises Caicedo and a new report has revealed that Brighton might be willing to let him go on one condition.
Arsenal are still hopeful that Brighton may sell Moises Caicedo if they bring in a midfielder before the January transfer window deadline day which is on Wednesday. The Gunners have already made two bids for the 21 year old central midfielder, but the Seagulls have yet to accept either of them.
The Ecuadorian international has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time now and they are keen to get a deal done before the window closes. Caicedo has been in impressive form for his club this season.
Brighton are reluctant to let him go as they see him as an important part of their squad, but if they can bring in a suitable replacement before Wednesday then they may be willing to let him go as per Football.London . Arsenal are aware of this and are hoping that Brighton will be open to selling Caicedo if they can find a suitable replacement.
The Gunners have already made two bids for the 21 year old, but neither have been accepted by Brighton yet. It is believed that Arsenal’s latest offer was around £70 million, which is still some way off Brighton’s asking price of £90 million. However, with just days left until the window closes, Arsenal may be willing to increase their offer in order to get the deal done.
If Arsenal can get a deal done for Caicedo then it would be a major boost for Mikel Arteta’s side as he looks to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the second half of this season. The Ecuadorian international would add much needed depth and quality to the Gunners midfield and could prove to be an excellent signing if he can hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium.
With just days left until the January transfer window deadline day, it remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal will be able to get a deal done for Moises Caicedo. However, with Brighton potentially open to selling him if they can bring in a suitable replacement before Wednesday then there is still hope that Arsenal could secure his signature before the window closes.
