Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has revealed that he could be back on the pitch in the next four or five weeks.

Jesus suffered a knee injury at the World Cup and had to undergo surgery in December, leaving him sidelined for around three months.

The 25-year-old has made significant progress in his recovery and no longer uses crutches to get around. He was in attendance at the Emirates as Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2.

Jesus could potentially return towards the end of next month or the beginning of March which would be a major boost for Arsenal’s title push.

Arsenal have not struggled in the absence of their number nine contrary to what many had predicted. This is all thanks to the Brazilian’s deputy stepping up.

Eddie Nketiah has been in fine form in Jesus’s absence and netted a brace against Manchester United on Sunday including a 90th minute winner.

Nevertheless, it will be exciting for Arsenal to have their no.9 back on the pitch as they push for their first title in nearly 19 years. Mikel Arteta’s side are currently five points clear at the top of the league with a game in hand.
