Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed how his squad reacted after last week’s one-nil defeat to Everton. Speaking in the pre-match press conference ahead of their game against Brentford, he said: “The reaction was really positive. We sat together, discussed the game and what happened. The opponent played their part and you have to congratulate Everton for what they did on the day.” as per Arsenal Media.

Arteta also highlighted that some mistakes were made during the match and called for more character from his players as Arsenal looks to bounce back. “It’s true that there were things we didn’t do like in other games and that’s the reason you lose football matches. There’s always an opportunity to bounce back, show the character that we have and how much we want what we are fighting for.”

In hindsight, Arsenal fans will keep disappointed at their club for failing to win their match against Everton as Manchester City dropped points that same weekend and if the gunners had won, then they would come into this weekend with an eight point lead which would reduce on the nerves of everyone associated with the club.

Having said all this, tomorrow’s test against Brentford provides Arteta with a perfect opportunity to get his team’s push back on track – something which cannot be done without determination and belief from every player within the team – exactly what he is calling out for as he recognises where Arsenal currently stand in regards to their ambition of winning the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
