Arteta reveals why he isn’t surprised with performances of Trossard and Jorginho
Arsenal completed the signing of Leandro Trossard and Jorginho in the January transfer window and Mikel Arteta has revealed why he hasn’t been surprised with their performances.
Mikel Arteta has opened up why he is not surprised that their January signings, Leandro Trossard and Jorginho have been impressive for the gunners. The Arsenal boss spoke after the gunners beat Leicester City one nil and both Trossard and Jorginho were in the squad that got the win.
Trossard has so far scored one goal (in game against Brentford) in his first month at the Emirates Stadium and Jorginho has been a key figure in Arsenal’s midfield since his arrival from Chelsea. Arteta believes that both players have adapted quickly to life at Arsenal due to their experience in the Premier League.
“Two players already that have experience in the league, that really fitted our way of playing, really intelligent both of them to understand what is required in many situations that we demand them to execute certain things and they have the personality to come here and play the way they played is what is required at this level,” said Mikel Arteta as per Arsenal Media.
Arteta has been impressed with how quickly both players have settled into life at Arsenal and he believes they can play a key role in helping them achieve their objectives this season. He also highlighted how important it was for him to bring in experienced players who could make an immediate impact on the team.
The signings of Trossard and Jorginho have certainly paid off so far as they have made an instant impact on Arsenal’s performances since their arrival. With Arteta’s guidance, it looks like these two could be key figures for Arsenal over the coming months as they look to win the Premier League trophy.
