Aston Villa 2-4 Arsenal: How it happened
Arsenal is back to winning ways today after defeating Aston Villa 4-2 at its home turf to keep their Premier League title chances alive.

Arsenal came from behind in stunning style to beat Aston Villa 4-2 at Villa Park on Saturday.
It looked like it was going to be a tough day for the away side when Ollie Watkins opened the scoring with an unstoppable shot from a tight angle. However, Arsenal equalised swiftly thanks to Bukayo Saka’s powerful drive from just outside the box.
Philippe Coutinho restored the home side’s advantage midway through the first half with a smart finish following some neat build-up play. But their lead didn’t last long as Oleksandr Zinchenko levelled just after the hour mark with an emphatic strike into the far corner from range.
Eight minutes later, Jorginho had a golden chance to put his team ahead but his effort rebounded off the crossbar and onto Emiliano Martínez before rolling over the line for an own goal. And Arsenal completed their turnaround in stoppage time when Gabriel Martinelli raced onto Fabio Vieira’s pass and slotted coolly into an empty net to secure all three points.
The win takes Arsenal up to first place on the Premier League table but that will be until Manchester City plays its game as the Citizens could reclaim top spot if they win in what already looks like being a thrilling Premier League campaign. With talented stars such as Saka and Martinelli getting goals today , Mikel Arteta’s men have shown that they have what it takes to fight for honours this season.
