Arsenal will on Wednesday welcome Premier League reigning Champions Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium and so we take a look at the predicted lineup.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE MANCHESTER CITY

Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Manchester City
Ramsdale, Zinchenko, Saliba, Gabriel, White, Xhaka, Partey, Odegaard, Trossard, Nketiah, Saka
FORMATION: 4-3-3
With a crucial game ahead, Arteta will likely utilise a 4-3-3 formation versus Pep Guardiola’s side. The goalkeeping position looks set to be taken by Aaron Ramsdale as he is the first choice. At the back, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba will form the centre back pairing with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White at full back.
In midfield, Thomas Partey looks set to keep his place in the starting line up after despite a bit disappointing performances lately while Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard will provide the creativity in the middle of the park.
The front line looks set to be comprised of Leandro Trossard on the left flank, Eddie Nketiah through middle, and Bukayo Saka on the right hand side. All three have shown glimpses of quality this season but could be a key factor Wednesday night against Manchester City who are known for their formidable defence.
This is an extremely important match for Arsenal as they look to carry on their promising start to the season. A win against Manchester City would keep them atop of the table and give them a huge confidence boost heading into crunch ties in the coming months where most teams including themselves are jostling for silverware at home and abroad. With that being said, Arteta’s men must put in their best performance if they want to stand any chance of success under the floodlights Wednesday night.
