Arsenal have today beaten Leicester City 1-0 at the King Power Stadium, keeping up their charge for the Premier League title. The game was a tight affair with both sides having chances to take the lead. Leandro Trossard had the ball in the net for Arsenal, but after consulting the VAR, referee Craig Pawson overturned the goal because of sustained holding from Ben White on Danny Ward in the build-up.

At halftime, it was still 0-0 and it seemed like neither side could find a breakthrough. However, Arsenal made a rapid start to the second half as Gabriel Martinelli finished into the bottom corner to give them a 1-0 lead. This proved to be enough as Leicester couldn’t find an equaliser and Arsenal held on for all three points.

The win sees Arsenal go five points clear at the top of the Premier League after 24 games but Manchester City are yet to play (currently playing) so they might win and take it back two points away from the gunners. This was an important win for Arsenal as they look to maintain their title challenge and keep up with their rivals at the top of the table. They will now be looking ahead to their next game against Everton where they will be hoping to continue their good form and pick up another three points.
