Mikel Arteta reveals the Arsenal star that will miss the Everton game
Arsenal will this weekend face Everton away from home and Mikel Arteta has revealed the player that will surely miss the game.
Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe will not be available for their game against Everton this Saturday. The 22-year-old made his long-awaited return from injury in the FA Cup against Oxford United on January 9 after four months out with a groin problem.
However, his comeback was halted after picking up a thigh injury in training which forced him to miss the FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester City. Arteta has now revealed that Smith Rowe is still not fit enough to feature against Everton and will remain sidelined for the foreseeable future as per Arsenal’s website.
Smith Rowe has been one of Arsenal’s most impressive players over the last few years since he broke into the first team but he has however this season been troubled by injuries.
The Gunners currently sit 1st on the Premier League table and will come into the match against Everton with a lot of confidence as they are currently on a good run of games. Emile Smith Rowe obviously wouldn’t have been in the starting in the game on Saturday if he wasn’t injured but Mikel Arteta will always want to have all his players available for selection.
