Mikel Arteta reveals the biggest threat of Manchester City ahead of clash
Arsenal will today face the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City and Mikel Arteta has revealed the biggest threat about The Citizens.
The Gunners have been in impressive form this season, but face a stern test against Pep Guardiola’s side on Wednesday. Ahead of the match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has opened up about what he believes is City’s biggest threat.
Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. The Gunners have been in impressive form this season and currently sit atop the Premier League table, but face a stern test against Pep Guardiola’s side. Ahead of the match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has opened up about what he believes is City’s biggest threat.
“They as a team. What they have done in the last six years, they absolutely merit it – on the pitch and the way they play, the way they have competed and how they have gone through difficulties,” said Arteta as per Arsenal Media. “For us, the challenge is to get to that level and we need to use that challenge and that energy to say ‘this is where we want to be.’ That is the level, and we are heading towards it.”
The draw with Brentford at the weekend means Arsenal go into Wednesday’s clash with Manchester City with their winless run extended to three games. With City looking strong this season, Arteta knows his side must be at their best if they are to come away with all three points. It promises to be an intriguing encounter between two of England’s top sides and one which could prove decisive in deciding who finishes top of the Premier League table come May.
