Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Aston Villa with all eyes on Saliba and Gabriel
Arsenal will today face Aston Villa away from home and so here is the predicted lineup of the gunners with all eyes on William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend as they travel to face Aston Villa at Villa Park in the early kick-off on Saturday. The Gunners have been in a bit of a slump lately, having lost their last four matches across all competitions, including a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in their most recent Premier League outing. This has seen them drop off the top of the table and they will be desperate to get back on track with a win against Aston Villa..
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE ASTON VILLA
Ramsdale; White, Saliba,Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Jorginho; Saka, Odegaard, Trossard; Nketiah
FORMATION: 4-2-3-1
Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can put in an improved performance this weekend and he is likely to make some changes to his starting lineup. In goal, Aaron Ramsdale is expected to keep his place between the sticks, while Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba should form the centre-back partnership with Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko operating as full-backs. Granit Xhaka and Jorginho are likely to start in midfield, with Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard playing further forward behind Eddie Nketiah who is expected to lead the line for Arsenal.
The Gunners have been struggling for form recently but they will be hoping that they can turn things around against Aston Villa this weekend. With both sides coming off defeats against Manchester City, it promises to be an intriguing encounter at Villa Park on Saturday lunchtime.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can find a way out of their current slump but one thing is for sure – they must find a way if they are going to win this year’s Premier League title.
