He also praised the way Arteta handled himself on and off the pitch, saying that his intensity was second to none. It’s clear that Ramsey has a lot of respect for his former teammate and believes that he is doing an excellent job as manager of Arsenal.
“You could see his (Arteta) leadership qualities and the way that he handled himself was second to none. What he is doing now, definitely, you could see he was always going to be a manager one day, the way he thought and saw the game and how intense he was as well.” said Aaron Ramsey as per The Metro.
Speaking about Arsenal’s current success, Ramsey said that it was “absolutely unbelievable” what they have achieved so far this season. The Gunners are currently in a title race as they sit at the top of the Premier League table with 69 points after 28 games. However, they are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 61 points plus a game in hand.
Ramsey also spoke about how much Arsenal still means to him despite leaving the club after spending 10-11 years there. He said that he is still a fan of the club and knows many players and staff members there. He believes that the fans deserve all the success that they are currently experiencing.
