Arsenal star sends message to fans after getting a long term injury
The international break has started off with bad news as its been reported that the gunners will not have their right back Takehiro Tomiyasu for the reminder of the season.
Arsenal right back Takehiro Tomiyasu has taken to Instagram to send a message to fans after being ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. The Japanese international sustained the injury in Arsenal’s loss to Sporting Lisbon last week and had successful surgery in London on Tuesday.
In his message, Tomiyasu urged fans to stay positive and see this as an opportunity to become a better person and player. He also thanked them for their warm messages and support, promising to return soon.
“Heads up and stay positive. I believe that this is the opportunity to be a better person and player. Thank you for your warm message and support. See you soon!!!” wrote Tomiyasu on Instagram.
Tomiyasu’s injury is a blow for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who now only has one option in the right back position – Ben White. However, the Gunners are still in a title race as they currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with 69 points after 28 games. They are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 61 points plus a game in hand.
Tomiyasu’s absence will be felt by Arsenal, but it also presents an opportunity for other players to step up and fill the void. Arteta will need to rely on White or potentially switch up his formation to accommodate another player in that position.
Despite this setback, Arsenal will be hoping that they can maintain their form and secure their first Premier League title since 2004. With tough fixtures against Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur still to come, they will need all hands on deck if they are to achieve their goal.
In the meantime, Tomiyasu will focus on his recovery and come back stronger next season. His positive attitude is an inspiration for fans and teammates alike, showing that even in difficult times there is always room for growth and improvement.
