Arsenal’s likely lineup to face Crystal Palace revealed as Arteta eyes win
Arsenal will today welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates Stadium and so here is the lineup that Mikel Arteta is likely to use in this game.
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their Europa League disappointment when they take on Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The Gunners are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table with 66 points after 27 games, but they are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 61 points.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE CRYSTAL PALACE
Aaron Ramsdale; Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding, Ben White; Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Odegaard; Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard , Bukayo Saka
Mikel Arteta is likely to continue using the 4-3-3 formation that he has been using for most of the season. In goal, Aaron Ramsdale is expected to start.
In defense, Oleksandr Zinchenko is likely to start at left-back, with Gabriel Magalhaes and Rob Holding in central defense and Ben White at right-back. This backline has been solid for Arsenal this season and has helped them keep a number of clean sheets.
In midfield, Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are expected to start as the holding midfielders, with Martin Odegaard playing in an advanced role. Odegaard has been in good form for Arsenal this season.
Up front, Gabriel Martinelli could start on the left wing, with Leandro Trossard playing as the central striker. Trossard started up front against Fulham last weekend and could retain his place if Gabriel Jesus is not fully fit. Bukayo Saka is expected to start on the right wing.
Overall, this is a strong lineup for Arsenal and one that should be able to get a result against Crystal Palace. The Gunners will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of the table and keep their title hopes alive as we head into the business end of the season.
