Arteta comments on possibility of Jesus returning to squad in game against Fulham
Arsenal will this weekend face Fulham and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has commented on the possibility of Gabriel Jesus returning to squad in Sunday’s match.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given an update on the status of striker Gabriel Jesus, who has been out with injury since December last year. The Gunners are currently in a title race as they sit at the top of the Premier League table with 63 points after 26 games, and the return of Jesus could be crucial in their quest for silverware.
Jesus sustained his injury during the World Cup and has been sidelined ever since. However, Arteta is hopeful that the Brazilian forward will be back on the field soon. Speaking to Sky Sports, Arteta said: “Well, it’s been a while. Jesus had a bad injury and he’s been pushing the boundaries and trying to get the recovery as soon as possible.”
The Arsenal manager went on to explain that while Jesus has started doing some activities, he still needs more time to feel confident and comfortable before returning to action. “Is that a matter of days? Hopefully yes, more than a matter of weeks!” Arteta added.
Jesus is known for his dynamic style of play and his ability to score goals from anywhere on the pitch. Arsenal fans have been eagerly awaiting his return, especially given their current position at the top of the table.

Arteta also emphasized that it was important for Jesus to be at his best before being thrown back into action. “He needs to feel confident, and comfortable and ready for it – especially the way he plays,” Arteta said. “We need him at his best, so the moment he’s ready he’ll be thrown on the field.”
With just 12 games left in the season, every point counts for Arsenal as they look to secure their first Premier League title since 2004. The return of Gabriel Jesus could provide a much-needed boost to their attacking options and help them maintain their lead at the top of the table.
As fans eagerly await news of Jesus’ return, Arteta remains focused on keeping his team motivated and prepared for every game. Arsenal will need all hands on deck if they hope to stay ahead in this season’s title race.
