Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has been outstanding this season for the gunners and he has revealed the outstanding level of trust he has in Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal youngster Gabriel Martinelli has been a revelation this season, with his performances on the pitch earning him widespread praise from fans and pundits alike. The 21-year-old Brazilian has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in the Premier League so far, helping Arsenal to mount a serious title challenge.
In a recent interview with Arsenal Media, Martinelli spoke about the level of trust he has in his manager Mikel Arteta. “If I’m the number nine or on the wing, I always try to do my best and help the team by scoring or getting an assist,” he said. “It’s up to Mikel – wherever he decides to play me, I’ll play. If the team need me I’d play as a goalkeeper! We play for Arsenal and everyone has this responsibility.”
Martinelli’s versatility has been one of his key strengths this season, as he has played in various positions across the front line. His ability to adapt to different roles and still perform at a high level is testament to his talent and work ethic.
Arsenal’s rise to the top of the Premier League table has been largely down to their impressive form at both ends of the pitch. They have scored 59 goals in 26 games, while conceding just 25 in the league. Martinelli’s contribution has been crucial in this regard, as he has scored more than 10 goals and assisted 2.
With Martinelli leading from the front, Arsenal fans will be hoping that their team can maintain their momentum and secure their first Premier League title since 2004.a
