Ramsdale reveals the two players that could likely lead Arsenal to winning the league
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has opened up about the players that he believes are responsible for them having a chance to win the Premier League this season.
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has opened up about the players that have made the Gunners have a big chance of winning their first Premier League title since 2004. The team is currently in a title race as they are currently first on the Premier League table with 69 points after 28 games but are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City which has 61 points plus a game in hand.
Ramsdale believes that the additions of Jesus and Zinchenko have been a massive help to the team. They’ve been there and done it, and their experience has been invaluable. Jorginho, who joined Arsenal in January, has also been a great addition to the team. He’s won every trophy other than the Premier League and the World Cup, so he brings a winning mentality to the squad.
“The additions of Jesus and Zinchenko are a massive help. They’ve been there and done it. Jorginho now has come in [in January] and he’s been there and done it, [winning] every trophy other than the Premier League and the World Cup.” Aaron Ramsdale told The Standard.
“But then you’ve also get people like Bukayo Saka, Gabby Martinelli and Martin Odegaard who are another year in the Premier League, another year wiser and international experiences in the World Cup and captain of the football club. So I think everyone has got a story, which has added more to it from last year and added more strings to their bow. At the minute it’s all working superbly well and we’re reaping the rewards.”
But it’s not just the experienced players that have helped Arsenal this season. Ramsdale also highlighted young talents like Bukayo Saka, Gabby Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard. These players have another year of experience in the Premier League and international experience from playing in the World Cup. Odegaard is also now captain of the football club, which shows how highly he is regarded by his teammates.
Ramsdale believes that everyone on the team has a story that has added more to it from last year and added more strings to their bow. At the minute it’s all working superbly well, and they’re reaping the rewards.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that their team can maintain their form for the rest of the season and win their first Premier League title in almost two decades. The Gunners have had some tough times over recent years, but they seem to be on an upward trajectory under manager Mikel Arteta.
If Arsenal can continue to keep things tight at the back while also scoring goals at regular intervals, then they could well be lifting their first Premier League trophy since 2004 come May. It’s still early days yet, but there’s no denying that Arsenal are genuine contenders for this year’s title race.
