Zinchenko reveals what makes Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta a special manager
Arsenal signed Oleksandr Zinchenko in the summer transfer window and the Ukrainian international has opened up on what makes his boss Mikel Arteta a special manager.

Arsenal left back Oleksandr Zinchenko has opened up on what makes his manager Mikel Arteta special and how he left Manchester City to come to the Emirates Stadium. The Ukrainian international joined Arsenal in the 2022 summer transfer window for £32million from Manchester City. This season, he has scored one goal and made two assists.
Zinchenko has been impressed with Arteta’s vision, character, and mentality. He believes that the Arsenal manager is a winner, and everyone likes to win. Zinchenko said, “The way he sees football – his vision, his character, his mentality. He’s a winner and everyone likes to win… as simple as that.” as per Daily Mail.
Zinchenko had always admired Arteta’s style of management and knew that if he ever left Manchester City, he would only play under Arteta in the Premier League. “I said to my circle: If one day I’m going to leave Manchester City and I’m going to stay in the Premier League, it will be only one manager: Mikel Arteta,” Zinchenko revealed.
Last summer, Zinchenko got his wish when Arteta called him for the first time during the transfer window. “That’s what I said to him when he called me for the first time in that transfer window,” Zinchenko said.
Arsenal are currently leading the Premier League table with 69 points after 28 games but are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City which has 61 points plus a game in hand. The Gunners are in a title race this season, and Zinchenko believes that Arteta is the key factor behind their success.

Arteta took over as Arsenal manager in December 2019 after serving as an assistant coach at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. Since then, he has transformed Arsenal into a more disciplined and organized team.
Zinchenko has been a key player for Arsenal this season, and his performances have been impressive. He has shown his versatility by playing in different positions, including left-back and central midfield.
In conclusion, Zinchenko’s admiration for Arteta is a testament to the Arsenal manager’s abilities. Arteta’s vision, character, and mentality have helped transform Arsenal into title contenders this season. With Zinchenko’s contribution on the pitch and Arteta’s guidance off it, Arsenal fans can look forward to an exciting end to the season.
