Arsenal 4-1 Leeds United: How it happened
The Premier League returned this weekend after the end of the international break and Arsenal have today defeated Leeds United 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have continued their impressive form in the Premier League with a convincing 4-1 win over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The Gunners regained their eight-point lead at the top of the table, with Manchester City closely following in second place.
Despite a strong start from Leeds, it was Arsenal who took the lead against the run of play. After being fouled in the box by Ayling, Gabriel Jesus stepped up to take the penalty and calmly slotted it down the middle to give Arsenal a 1-0 lead.
Just a minute after the restart, Arsenal doubled their lead through defender Ben White. The 24-year-old got on the end of Gabriel Martinelli’s cross and powered his effort into the back of the net from close range.
Jesus then added his second of the game, poking in Leandro Trossard’s pass across the box to make it 3-0 for Arsenal. However, Leeds managed to pull one back through Kristensen’s deflected strike.
But Arsenal were not done yet. Granit Xhaka found himself unmarked in the box and headed home Bukayo Saka’s cross to make it 4-1 for Arteta’s side.
The win sees Arsenal extend their winning run in the league to seven games and maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table. With just nine games remaining in the season, Arsenal will be hoping to continue their impressive form and secure their first league title since 2004.
