Arsenal have received some good news on the injury of their centre back William Saliba. The 22-year-old defender is close to returning for the Gunners, who are currently at the top of the Premier League table with 73 points after 30 games.

Saliba has been a key player for Arsenal this season, starting most of their games and helping them to be in a title race with Manchester City, who are second on the table with 67 points plus a game in hand.

Unfortunately, Saliba got injured some few weeks back in Arsenal’s defeat to Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Europa League. He was forced off before the end of the game and has been out of action since then.

The Gunners are being cautious about bringing him back too early because they don’t want his back injury to re-emerge. However, they have now received positive news that he is close to returning and could be available for selection soon as per Football Daily.

Saliba will be a welcome addition for Arsenal as they look to maintain their position at the top of the table and challenge for the title this season. He has already shown his potential this season and will be an important part of Mikel Arteta’s team if he can stay fit and healthy until the end of the campaign.

The return of Saliba will also provide more competition for places at centre back as Arteta looks to build a strong defensive unit that can help them win silverware this season.

Overall, it is great news for Arsenal that William Saliba is close to returning from his injury and could be available soon. His return will provide more competition at centre back and help them maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table as they look to challenge for silverware this season.
