Newcastle United are reportedly confident of securing the services of Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Magpies are on the lookout for a new left-back, and Eddie Howe is said to be keen on bringing in the injury-plagued Scot to St. James’ Park as per The Sun.

Tierney has struggled for game time this season, with Oleksandr Zinchenko being preferred by Mikel Arteta as Arsenal’s first-choice left-back. The 25-year-old has made a fewPremier League appearances this season, with injuries hampering his progress at the Emirates Stadium.

However, despite his lack of game time, Tierney is still highly rated by many in the footballing world. He is known for his attacking prowess and defensive solidity, and would be a valuable addition to any team.

Newcastle United are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table and have a high chance of securing UEFA Champions League football next season. This could be a major factor in convincing Tierney to make the move to Tyneside.

Sources close to Tierney believe that a summer move to Newcastle United is increasingly likely, with the Magpies reportedly willing to pay £30million-plus for his services.

If Newcastle United do manage to secure Tierney’s signature, it would be a major coup for Eddie Howe’s side. The Scottish international would add much-needed quality and depth to their squad, and could help them push for major honours next season.

Overall, it remains to be seen whether Newcastle United will be able to land Kieran Tierney in the upcoming summer transfer window. However, with their current league position and reported willingness to pay big money for his services, they certainly have a good chance of doing so.
