Arteta speaks out on Saka’s contract renewal and what makes him a special person
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken out on Bukayo Saka after he signed a new deal with the gunners and how he is such a good person.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Bukayo Saka after the 21-year-old signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2027. Saka has been in fine form this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists in the Premier League. Despite Arsenal’s title hopes being dashed by a defeat against Nottingham Forest in their 37th game week, Saka’s performances have been a bright spot for the club.
Arteta hailed Saka as a “fantastic talent” and a “special person,” adding that retaining young talents like Saka is key to Arsenal’s continued progress. The club has been working hard to tie down its key players to long-term deals, and Saka’s new contract is another step in the right direction.
“It’s great for the club that Bukayo has extended his contract. Retaining our best young talents is key to our continued progress and Bukayo represents such an important part of our squad now and for the future.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
“As well as being a fantastic talent, Bukayo is a special person, he’s loved by us all and he is a credit to himself and his family for the hard work and commitment they have all made to get to this level today. Together with our supporters, we’re so looking forward to enjoying Bukayo’s continued development with us in the years to come.”
Saka himself expressed his happiness at signing the new deal, saying that he believes Arsenal is “the right club, the right place to make the next step.” He also praised the support he receives from his family, teammates, and coaching staff, and said he is looking forward to achieving his personal ambitions with Arsenal.
Arsenal’s future is looking bright. While they may have missed out on the Premier League title this season, the club’s young stars are sure to continue making an impact in the years to come.
