Arsenal announces departure of a first team player
The summer transfer window opened a few weeks ago and it’s already been busy for all clubs in the Premier League. Arsenal have announced the departure of one of their first team players.

Arsenal Football Club has officially announced the departure of Pablo Mari from the team in this summer’s transfer window. The 29-year-old defender has joined AC Monza in a permanent transfer, marking the end of his tenure with Arsenal.
Pablo Mari initially signed for Arsenal on loan in January 2020 and later joined the club permanently six months later. During his time with the Gunners, he made a total of 22 appearances in all competitions. One of his notable moments came in December 2020 when he scored a goal in Arsenal’s impressive 4-1 victory against Rapid Vienna in the UEFA Europa League.
Before joining Arsenal, Pablo Mari played for Flamengo, where he played a crucial role in helping his team secure both the Brazilian league title and the South American Copa Libertadores. His performances caught the attention of Arsenal, and they brought him to London to strengthen their defensive line.

Following a short-term spell with Udinese to finish off the 2021/2022 campaign, Pablo Mari spent last season on loan with AC Monza. During his time at Monza, he made 31 appearances across all competitions and played an instrumental role in helping his newly promoted side secure an impressive 11th-place finish in Serie A.
Pablo Mari’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. In October 2022, he suffered an attack that left him injured during a visit to Milan. However, he showed tremendous strength and courage as he recovered from this setback and returned to full fitness. The entire Arsenal community is delighted to see him back on his feet and wishes him continued success.
The club expressed their gratitude towards Pablo Mari for his contributions during his time at Arsenal. They thanked him for his dedication and wished him and his family good health and happiness as they embark on this new chapter with AC Monza.
While the deal has been announced by both clubs, it is still subject to completion of regulatory processes. Once all the necessary paperwork and formalities are completed, Pablo Mari will officially become a player for AC Monza.
As Arsenal bids farewell to Pablo Mari, they will now focus on their future plans and potential signings to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. The departure of Mari opens up opportunities for new players to make their mark in the Arsenal defense, and fans eagerly await further announcements from the club regarding potential transfers.
