Rice shared that he first saw Saka play for England’s under 17s or under 18s at St George’s Park. He specifically mentioned that Saka played as a left wing-back during that time. “You wouldn’t of known this but I watched you play for England’s under 17s at St George’s or under 18s.” Rice told Saka when quizzed about how the pair met via Arsenal’s YouTube channel

During the interview, Rice also praised Saka’s work ethic and positive attitude. He mentioned how everyone immediately loved him because of his happy demeanor and dedication on the training pitch. It is evident that Saka has earned the respect of his teammates from day one.
