Folarin Balogun, the talented 22-year-old striker, has reportedly asked Arsenal to reconsider their asking price for him. According to journalist  Ben Jacobs, Balogun has made it clear that he does not want to go out on loan and is eager to secure a permanent move away from the club.

Balogun’s impressive loan spell at French Ligue 1 side Reims in the 2022-23 season has certainly caught the attention of many clubs. He showcased his goal-scoring prowess by netting an impressive 21 league goals during his time there. This outstanding performance has undoubtedly raised his profile and attracted potential suitors.

However, Arsenal’s reported asking price of £50 million for Balogun seems to have deterred interested parties from pursuing a deal. The hefty price tag has created a stumbling block in negotiations, leaving Balogun in a state of uncertainty about his future.

It is understandable that Arsenal would want to maximize their return on investment for such a promising young talent. However, setting such a high asking price may have inadvertently hindered Balogun’s chances of securing a move elsewhere. With potential suitors now seemingly put off by the valuation, it may be wise for Arsenal to reconsider their stance.

Balogun’s desire for regular first-team football is evident, as he has expressed his reluctance to go out on loan again. This suggests that he is ready for a new challenge and wants to establish himself as a key player at another club.

As negotiations continue, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will lower their asking price or if other clubs will be willing to meet their demands. One thing is certain though – Balogun’s impressive goal-scoring record and potential make him an exciting prospect for any team looking to bolster their attacking options.

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
