Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has sent an important message to Arsenal fans ahead of the start of the new season, expressing his confidence in current manager Mikel Arteta and the team’s ability to challenge for the Premier League title.

Wenger, who managed Arsenal for 22 years and won three Premier League titles with the club, believes that Arteta is making the right decisions and has built an organized team that can compete for the championship. In an interview with Arsenal media, Wenger said, “I feel that Mikel is doing well, making the right decisions, and having an organized team who, for me, can now challenge for the championship. We did it last year, let’s get over the line this year.”

Last season, Arsenal were in a fierce title race with Manchester City. The Gunners had led the league table for 10 months but suffered a crucial defeat against Nottingham Forest in their 37th game week. This loss ultimately cost them the title as Manchester City finished with 89 points compared to Arsenal’s 84 points.

Despite falling short last season, Wenger remains optimistic about Arsenal’s chances this year. He highlighted the team’s investments in strengthening their squad as a reason for his confidence. “We invested again a lot this year and strengthened the squad well,” Wenger stated. “So overall I’m very happy with the three signings. We have all the tools to do well and to challenge for the championship.”

Wenger’s belief in Arteta stems from his own experience managing Arsenal during challenging times. He recalls feeling confident during last season’s title race and believes that Arteta can lead Arsenal to success this time around. “I’m confident because last year with eight games to go, I always felt we would do it,” Wenger explained.

The former manager’s words will surely boost morale among Arsenal fans who are eager to see their team lift another Premier League trophy. With Arteta at the helm and a strengthened squad, the Gunners have the potential to mount a serious challenge for the championship.

As the new season approaches, Arsenal fans will be hoping that Wenger’s confidence in Arteta and the team is well-placed. The club’s supporters have been longing for another taste of Premier League glory, and with their former manager’s endorsement, they can dare to dream once again.
