Arsenal squad/lineup to face Everton today
Arsenal will today face Everton away from home and here is the predicted lineup of the gunners that will play in this game.
Arsenal will be looking to continue their positive start to the season when they face Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday. Currently sitting with 10 points from their first four Premier League games, the Gunners will be aiming to secure another victory and climb further up the table.
In goal, Aaron Ramsdale is expected to start despite some shaky performances early in the season. The young goalkeeper will be eager to prove himself and cement his place as Arsenal’s number one choice between the sticks. With competition from David Raya looming, Ramsdale will be determined to put in a solid performance against Everton.
In defense, Mikel Arteta is likely to deploy a backline consisting of Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Oleksandr Zinchenko. White is expected to play at right-back, a position he has filled in before, while Saliba and Gabriel will form the central defensive partnership. Zinchenko, who has been influential in Arsenal’s attacking play, will occupy the left-back position.
In midfield, Declan Rice will continue to shine as Arsenal’s star player this season. With Thomas Partey still sidelined, Rice has taken on the role of anchoring the midfield and has impressed with his performances so far. Alongside Rice, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard are likely to feature. Havertz’s height will be an advantage against Everton’s physical midfield, while Odegaard’s creativity and leadership qualities make him a guaranteed starter.
Up front, Bukayo Saka is expected to start on the right-wing. Despite reports of an Achilles injury, Arteta has confirmed that Saka is fit and ready to play. Gabriel Jesus is likely to lead the line as the central striker, with his pace and goal-scoring ability causing problems for Everton’s defense. On the left-wing, Gabriel Martinelli is expected to retain his spot in the starting lineup, although Leandro Trossard provides a strong alternative.
With this predicted lineup, Arsenal will be hoping to secure another three points and continue their positive momentum. The players selected possess a blend of youth, talent, and experience, which will be crucial in overcoming the challenges posed by Everton. As Arteta’s team continues to gel and develop, fans can expect an exciting and competitive match at Goodison Park.
