Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has provided an update on the injury he sustained during Arsenal’s recent match against Sevilla. Speaking to TNT Sports, Jesus expressed optimism about the severity of the injury, stating, “I felt something. Let’s see. I did some tests with the physio, it looks not that big, but let’s see. I have a scan, maybe tomorrow. I’m pretty sure it will be nothing.”

The injury occurred during an important Champions League clash between Arsenal and Sevilla. Despite a fairly even first half, Arsenal managed to take the lead just before halftime through a quick counter-attack orchestrated by Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian forward’s clever play set up Martinelli for a goal.

After the break, Gabriel Jesus himself found the back of the net with a brilliant curling shot into the top corner. However, Sevilla fought back and managed to pull one goal back through Gudelj’s powerful header from a corner.

Despite Sevilla’s efforts to find an equalizer, Arsenal held on to secure a 2-1 victory. This win propelled them to the top of their group at the halfway stage of the Champions League campaign.

Looking ahead, Arsenal’s focus now shifts to their upcoming Premier League match against Sheffield United at The Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Currently sitting in third position on the Premier League table with 21 points in this 2023/24 campaign, Arsenal will be eager to continue their winning ways and climb higher in the standings.

As for Sevilla, they remain in third place in their group and will be seeking their first win under manager Alonso when they face Cadiz in LaLiga over the weekend.

With Gabriel Jesus hopeful that his injury is not significant, Arsenal fans will be eagerly awaiting further updates on his condition as they hope for his swift return to action.
